Mary Kay (Kae) Tufteland
October 13, 1927 - September 16, 2022
Tribute
Kae Tufteland, age almost 95, left this world peacefully on September 16th with her only child, Marianne, by her side as she took her final breaths.
Kae enjoyed her Brinkworthy home, neighbourhood and caring neighbours for the past thirteen years. Her fellow Brinkworthy residents will most likely remember Kae and her thrice daily walks around the park with her red flag flying high from her faithful Walker. Kae expected everyone and all vehicles to see her, (and they did), as she was mostly blind and almost totally deaf. She had a fierce determination in all she did.
Kae leaves behind her daughter, Marianne, (husband, Menno), two grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Everyone, especially her grandkids, will miss ‘Gramma Kae’s’ kisses and vanilla ice-cream cones they received on their visits.
The especially good news is that Kae accepted Jesus as her Lord and Saviour 2 weeks before she passed away. Mom’s now resting in the arms of Jesus in a much better place free of pain, suffering and tears.
Marianne would like to extend her deepest gratitude to everyone in Brinkworthy who ‘watched out’ for Kae on the road and helped with checking in on her. Thanks to the HomeCare staff who visited once a day to ‘pop her meds’ and Dr. Gummeson & the staff at Lady Minto Hospital who took excellent care of Kae with the utmost patience for over 6 weeks! God Bless you all!
