Tribute

Kathy left us quickly and without hesitation.
Once she knew the score, off she went.

If she had had time, she would’ve come to you…
To thank you for your kindness, your love and your support over the years.
You know who you are…

Kathy had a big heart and a strong desire to make a difference in this world.
She advocated for the rights of seniors and of those less fortunate.
She worked as a private care aid and helped many people in our Community
Kathy always had time to listen, to comfort, and to help.

Through her life, Kathy achieved many personal goals…
She started and ran an alternate newspaper, where she grew up,
Kathy worked with Peter Gzowski and the Times Colonist
to create a program bringing literacy awareness to all BC schools.
She wrote poetry, was an artist, and a lover of all things creative.

Family was very important to Kathy.
Her dog, George was the centre of her life for many years.
She had a close connection with her brother Dan(Chris and Family)
Also many cousins back in New Brunswick.

Kathy would want to thank Dr. Kalf for his compassion and support throughout her journey…
She was so very grateful to you.

You were there for Kathy every step of the way.

You brought her groceries, and always took a moment to connect.
This meant a lot to her.

To Phil and Kathleen, you got Kathy, she trusted and loved you both.

In closing, although Kathy and I were not close the last few years,
we both made an effort to let our differences go, and to be present for what matters most.
I’m at Peace , both sad and grateful that I was given the opportunity to help my sister pass.
Life is short, and we do not know how long we have.
Rest in peace Kathy.
