Faye Jensen
December 12, 1953 - June 8, 2026
Tribute
Faye was our mother, grandma, educator, traveller, and bridge player.
Her greatest joy and achievement were her two children Natalie (Nash), and Kris (Kim). They each had two grandchildren: August, Shepherd, Evelyn and Roger. She adored each of them.
A proud graduate of UBC and U of A in adult education she went on to develop a program, the first of its kind in Canada, for Unit Coordinators in acute hospitals, including St Paul’s, Royal Columbian, VGH and UBC.
Faye was an avid bridge player and travelled to tournaments in Canada and the US. She would say she loved the game more than it loved her. She passionately took up weightlifting and pickleball in her 70’s, and adored travelling.
She was always one to celebrate family milestones and will always be remembered as an excellent cook, who had perfected salmon with dill sauce. Her memory will live on in her family’s immense love for food and each other.
Faye passed away on June 8th, after a leukemia diagnosis earlier this spring.
In her honour, please donate blood, or a gift to Covenant House, Doctors Without Borders or Canadian Cancer Society.

Relation: Friends. I met Faye back in 1974/75. I met her through our husbands who were friends.
Natalie & family and Kris & family, my heart goes out to all of you on the loss of your mother/grandmother.
